Back to school season!
Hi there, how’s your summer days? For me, it is now my first day back to school after 3 months staying at home chilling, learning new skills and traveling. So I guess it’s time for us to lock in again!
The new school year has officially begun, and I still can’t believe how quickly summer flew by. Waking up early again was definitely the hardest part. My alarm felt louder than ever at 6 o’clock sharp, and I seriously questioned all of my life choices when I had to leave my warm bed. Still, once I arrived at school, seeing everyone again made the morning feel worth it.
The first day was a mix of excitement and nervousness. There were familiar faces, new classmates, and teachers introducing themselves with long lists of expectations for the year. We received our schedules, looked through new textbooks, and spent most of the day getting organized. Even though there wasn’t much actual learning yet, I could already tell that this semester is going to be busy.
One of the best parts of going back to school is catching up with friends. It felt like no time had passed as we shared stories about our vacations, laughed over random memories, and talked about our goals for the year. I ran to my friend Gia Bao right when I see him standing in front of the school gate. Of course, we also complained about homework before we had even been assigned any. Some things never change.
Walking around campus also reminded me that a fresh start can be motivating. There’s something satisfying about opening a brand-new notebook or writing the first page of your planner. It makes me feel like I have another chance to improve, whether that’s staying on top of assignments, participating more in class, or simply managing my time better.
At the same time, I know the excitement of the first week won’t last forever. Soon there will be quizzes, projects, exams, and probably a few stressful late nights. But instead of worrying about everything that’s coming, I want to take things one step at a time. Setting small goals feels much more realistic than trying to be perfect from day one.
Today reminded me that every school year is a new chapter. It won’t always be easy, but it’s full of opportunities to learn, meet new people, and create memories that I’ll probably look back on years from now. Here’s hoping this year brings more growth than stress—and maybe just a little less homework than I’m expecting.
