A day in my life

Summer is my favorite time of the year because I can finally slow down and enjoy life without worrying about homework or exams. Although I don’t follow a strict schedule, I still have a routine that makes my days fun and relaxing.

I usually wake up around 9:30 a.m. instead of rushing out of bed like I do during the school year. The first thing I do is open my curtains and let the sunshine into my room. After washing up, I make myself a simple breakfast, usually toast, eggs, or a bowl of cereal, and enjoy it while watching a few YouTube videos.

Once I’m fully awake, I spend some time doing things I enjoy. Some mornings I read a novel, while on other days I practice the piano or draw on my ipad, which is one of my most recent hobby. If the weather isn’t too hot, I go for a walk around my neighborhood or stop by a nearby café to buy my favorite drink. I like matcha latte the most, what about you? Do you think it is kind of “overrated” as they say?

At noon, I have lunch with my family before relaxing for a while. I might watch a movie, play games with my friends online, or simply scroll through social media. Sometimes, we decide to go out for ice cream or visit a shopping mall together. Even though these activities are simple, they always make my day more enjoyable.

As the evening gets cooler, I like spending time outside watching the sunset or chatting with my friends. After dinner, I might read another chapter of my book or watch one last episode of a TV series before getting ready for bed.

My summer days aren’t packed with exciting adventures, but I love how peaceful they are. They give me time to rest, explore my hobbies, and make happy memories before another school year begins. For me, that’s what summer is all about.
